Ares boxed up and ready for Worlds

Ares is the robot Theseus Robotics took to Houston for the 2025-2026 DECODE season. The culmination of two seasons, five machines, and everything that, what was just two years ago a passionate group of nobodies, could throw at the world stage.

Two years earlier, Theseus didn’t have a field to practice on. At Worlds in 2026, Ares dominated playoff matches, coming just points away from the Da-Vinci stage, even with an alliance partner’s robot disconnected for half the match.

Rebuilt and redesigned from Apollo’s design flaws for the FIRST World Championship, Ares fought to a Division Finalist finish against the best teams on the planet, and its engineering earned the Design Award, an honour awarded based on the elegance and effectiveness of the machine at competition.

Following the Generation 2’s success at the World Championship, Theseus Robotics attended the Asia-Pacific Championship in Sydney, Australia, where Ares captained the Winning Alliance, ranked 1st in the Asia-Pacific, and earned the Inspire Award. During the event, we officially handed off the torch to our Generation 3 team, who will continue Theseus’ legacy in the 2026-2027 season and beyond.
