Zeus was the King that closed out our rookie season. Built for the Asia-Pacific Championship after Worlds, it was a significantly reworked machine that set out to fix every reliability issue we fought in Houston. Spoiler: it did.
Zeus autonomously scored specimens in both autonomous and teleop with a cycle time of under 1.5 seconds using cascade-strung MGN7 passthrough rails, auto-targeted sample pickup with a vision-driven intake turret running at 90 Hz, and hauled itself onto the submersible with a power take-off system borrowed from its vertical slides.
At APOC, Zeus posted the highest autonomous score and the highest match score of the whole event and finished as Finalist Alliance, while the team took home the Inspire Award.
Thank you to our alliance partners, team 11146 Barker Redbacks for a fantastic event.
